The Apple Watch Revolution

We are just days away now from the release of Heart Analyzer V8.1

In this release we’ve made a bunch of key improvements on the iPhone app and even added new features such as Dashboard Metrics and Heart Rate Variability charts.

But for this update, its really back to focus for the Apple Watch. V8.1 introduces a refreshed app right on your wrist that provides:

  • Better performance - careful tuning throughout to ensure a snappy experience and negligible battery life impact

  • Clear design - new bold folds, improved dynamic text support and refined colors make for a new experience

  • New charts - week scatter charts give you a clear indication of recent metrics such as average and resting HR

  • Heart Rate Variability - you can now track this daily on the watch

  • Workouts - view clear metrics of the workout and even dive into HR Recovery and VO2Max

It seem’s pretty crazy that this is now all available your wrist. Even more so that the Apple Watch app can be completely standalone! The iPhone app is truly optional.

I hope that you enjoy this update. I’m pleased to say that is supports the same system requirements so an Apple Watch Series 1 or newer on WatchOS 6.2 is supported and on iPhone you need iOS 13.2 or newer.

Finally, we are of course looking to the future with iOS 14 and WatchOS 7. I am pleased to announce that we’ll be adding in the new features this year whilst maintaining support for the current system releases. Look out this fall for new features such as ECG comparisons and new complications!

Stay safe.
